Pinnacle Software Visits Clients and Prospects in Singapore during March 2007
Stephen Wickens, Chief Operating Officer and Steve Corradini, Sales Manager for
Pinnacle Software visited Singapore in the week of March 19th to meet with
clients and prospects who have significant interest in the life time management
of Assets and Facilities including Maintenance.
In the many discussions, whether the focus was a single campus, fleets of
vehicles, retail stores, data centers, art or sports venues, started with "yes"
we need to do something BUT where does FMS start and/or finish with Financials.
Whether, SAP, Oracle, MYOB or F1, the discussion on integration was viewed as a
critical component to make operations' successful.
Stephen Wickens pointed out that when Pinnacle was installed at Coles Myers in
Australian to cover 2500 sites where they had been using SAP extensively for
many years, the integration effort was a matter of a few weeks with only
several people involved from each of Pinnacle and SAP. The key was that data
element mapping on both sides as data had to be moved in both directions.
Pinnacle Software, with its 200 clients in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong
Kong and the United Kingdom has undertaken integration many times and this
discussion come down to one database or several. Experience has shown that the
task is not as difficult or as complex as would initially be assumed. Pinnacle
has been predominately been installed on Oracle, SQL and Sybase
Pinnacles Facilities Management System, being a mature product from a single
product software house, has been successfully installed in many industry
sectors like: Arts and Entertainment, Defense, Education, Facility and Venue
Managers, Food and Beverage, Health Care, Local Government, Mining and
Manufacturing, Property and construction, Services and retail, Sporting
Faculties, Tourism and Hospitality, Transportation and Road Infrastructure and
Utilities and Telecommunication.
