PASR Enhances Managed Services with Proactive Monitoring
In our ongoing improvements towards keeping our clients' systems up and available,
PASR has recently introduced our new Proactive Monitoring Package. This service has
now been fully tested, and progressively over the next two months we will be adding
this feature to all managed servers and services. This package is provided at no
additional cost, and included in existing Maintenance Agreements.
How it Works
Every five minutes on a 24/7 basis, our automated Service Manager attempts to
connect to individual servers and services under management. If this connection
fails, our Support Team is immediately notified of the problem, and can then take
appropriate action to normalise the situation.
As well as physical servers, we also monitor specific critical services and subsystems:
for example - mail queues, CPU, Disk & Memory utilisation, web sites, network connections
and more.
At PASR we believe this enhancement will enhance systems availability,
plus allow us to respond more swiftly when outages do occur. If you would
